About THENN
THENN is a contemporary womenswear label whose designer co-founder brings experience in qipao, Chinese jackets and Chinese occasionwear. Its approach combines considered fabric selection with Chinese-inspired pattern, tailoring and craft details. The collection includes abayas for everyday and occasion dressing, long layers and separates across AWAKE, THE QUIET DAWN, TWILIGHT WHISPERS and ILLUMINATE.
THENN grew from a friendship of more than twenty years between two creative partners: a Chinese fashion designer and a global brand builder.
Chinese-inspired design at THENN is not limited to one phoenix motif or one style. Across different pieces, the label works with selected Chinese textiles, woven patterns, button details and handwork, drawing on its designer co-founder’s experience with qipao, Chinese jackets and occasionwear. These elements can be a subtle part of a garment, adding character to an everyday look. The specific fabric and craft details vary by style and should be described on each product page.
Each piece balances structure and fluidity. Some are quiet and easy to layer; others use shimmer, brocade, fringe or transparency to hold a room. Rather than prescribing one way to dress, THENN designs for choice: how a woman wants to move, cover, reveal, celebrate and change.
We design for the woman in becoming: strong, intuitive and calm in her transformation.
THENN. Design for Becoming.
What does THENN make, and can its clothing be customised?
THENN makes abaya-inspired clothing, long outer layers and separates, bringing Chinese textile and design details into contemporary dressing. Its designer co-founder’s background in qipao, Chinese jackets and occasionwear informs the collection. Pieces are made to order, with room to discuss length adjustments, tailoring an existing style to your measurements, or a bespoke design before ordering. Available options and any additional charges are confirmed with the team.
